The Heddle lab has published a new paper in Molecular Biology and Evolution, entitled Reciprocal Nucleopeptides as the Ancestral Darwinian Self-Replicator”  https://academic.oup.com/mbe/article/doi/10.1093/molbev/msx292/4604794?guestAccessKey=3f82d5ad-33d0-4b61-b389-888a63e44a34 it investigates the possibility that life began as a self-replicating system consisting of both nucleic acid and peptide components. The work was carried out in collaboration with Bernard Piette and Anne Taormina at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Durham University, UK.

Congratulations!smiley
