Ptak Lab | Developmental Biology Laboratory

Our investigation focuses on what affects the development of mammalian embryo in long term perspectives (i.e. Developmental Origins of Health and Disease, DOHaD). The influence of assisted reproduction technologies and of parental aging on life-long health status of the offspring as well as transgenerational inheritance of the disease, are within our primary interests.

Furthermore, our research is aimed at understanding mechanisms activated during blastocyst growth and implantation. The use of sophisticated experimental models, including delayed implantation, mono-parental embryos, oocyte and embryo manipulations and culture in vitro allow us to achieve our research objectives.
